Covid-19 Results From Mass Testing In Nairobi and Mombasa.

Covid-19. According to the Ministry of Health, in the last 24 hours as of 5 PM of 3rd of May 2020, they manage to test a total of 883 people.

CAS Rashid Aman announced that, out of the 883 people, 30 of them tested positive for corona virus. The 30 cases are spread as follows;

  • Mombasa – 19
  • Nairobi – 8
  • Bungoma county – 2
  • Kitui county – 1

The total number of positive cases now in Kenya as per the Ministry of Health is 465, of today 3rd of May 2020.

The country now records 24 deaths as 2 more patients succumb to the corona virus. A number of more recoveries has also been registered.

Reminder on Covid-19 measures.

Rashid Aman asked the members of the public to strictly follow the measures set aside by the government of Kenya and the Ministry of Health.

He remind restaurant owners to abide by the containment measure set to them by the government. This is following the information that some of the restaurant owners are not following the protocols that was set by the government.

Mass Testing Turn Out.

The ministry also admit that they are very to undertake mass testing, but the number of the people showing for the free test is low, as per the ministry target.

CAS Rashid Aman asked Kenyans in the targeted area in the country, to present themselves for testing since it important for them and it is free of charge.

The inspector General of police has also been directed to designate a place to hold curfew breakers, since all curfew breakers will no longer be accommodated at the usual government quarantine facilities.


Education cabinet secretary George Magoha, used the opportunity to announced that, currently he is focusing of the covid-19 and not opening of schools.

But he stated that when the schools opens, all the students will be treated equally. And they will get what they have missed. He added that the ministry is waiting for appropriate time to decide if they will shift the school calendar or open the schools.
