BREAKING NEWS: Kenyan Aircraft Brought Down By A Rocket In Somalia.

The news reaching us is that a Kenyan aircraft with 6 crew was brought down in Somalia by a rocket in Somalia. It is reported to have happened at around 3:45 PM local time.

S.I Intelligence reported that the aircraft 120-5Y AXO belonging to African Express was about to land at Bardale town in Somalia.

The African Express Airline is said to be owned by a Somali Kenyan firm and it currently operate 8 aircraft’s.

The airline offer both passenger and cargo services. And by the time it was bought down, it was transporting medical suppliers and mosquito nets to Bardale town from Ethiopia.

Some media outlets in Somalia reported the aircraft was brought down by a rocket propeller, from unknown people.

The people who were in the aircraft were 2 Kenyan pilots and four passengers allegedly from an NGO in Somalia and were accompanying the medical supplies and mosquito nets.

Most of the small local aircraft’s in Somalia are said to be operated by Somali Kenyans.

A number of Kenyans have send condolences messages to the people involve as they condemn such act.

Before corona cases was reported in Africa, most of the aircraft were transporting Miraa to Somalia on a daily basis until the Somalia government banned the Miraa transportation from Kenya as a way to stop the spread of the corona virus.
