BREAKING NEWS: 45 People Have Tested Positive for Covid-19.

The Ministry of Health have announced that 45 more people in Kenya have tested positive for Corona Virus, out of 1,077 people who were tested.

This is the highest number that has been recorded in 24 hours ever since the first case on the 12th of March 2020..

Breakdown of cases.

Out of the 45 positive cases, 29 are from Nairobi county, areas of Eastleigh, 11 of them are from Mombasa county and the rest five are from Wajir county.

Out the of the 45 cases confirmed today, 5th of May, 30 of them are males and the rest 15 are females.

This now brings the total number of positive cases that have have been confirmed in to 535.

So far, out of all the 535 cases, 63 are from Eastleigh Nairobi, 39 from Old town Mombasa, and 24 from Kawangware in Nairobi.

The Ministry also announced that 9 more people have recovered. This brings the total of recoveries in Kenya to 182.

Health Cabinet secretary Mutahi Kagwe said that the figures that was reported today is just but a clear indication that, the situation is not getting better

Those leaving in the areas of Kawagware, Eastleigh and old town Mombasa. are urged to be serious and follow the guidelines that the ministry established. This is following the reports they received that people are sitting together against the advise.

The cabinet secretary added that nobody is living the normal, and that the current situation is not going to change in the near future, but if if every Kenyan stay focused, then we shall overcome.

Mutahi Kagwe made a request to politicians to look for ways to educate people in the grass roots level on the challenges that the nation is currently facing.

He asked the members to be discipline as they try to contain the disease. Kagwe request Kenyans to be Understanding so that nobody can be discriminated against parts of our society.

All the drivers operating across the borders are urged to get tested in Kenya, and are issued with certificates, to avoid problems at long ques at the border waiting to be tested.
