Mike Sonko: I Must Take PS Kibicho and Ndolo to Hague (ICC).

Nairobi county governor, Mike Mbuvi Sonko, has threatened to take PS Interior, Karanja Kibicho, Nairobi RC Wilson Njega and Nairobi Regional Police Commander, Philip Ndolo to International Criminal Court, ICC, for ordering demolition of houses in Kariobangi, that has rendered many families homeless.

According to Mike Sonko, president Uhuru Kenyatta is not involved in the demolition, but the people around him. To Sonko, the same people surrounding the president, are messing the country.

Sonko claims that, PS Karanja Kibicho and his team defied a high court order against the demolition in the area, by sending heavily armed police officers to supervise the demolition and illegal eviction of Kariobangi residence. Especially during this deadly covid-19 pandemic period.

The next step for Mike Sonko is that, he is beginning to study the Rome Statues, and engaging the local and international lawyers to deal with the Kariobango ‘illegal’ and eviction of residence.

According to Mike Sonko, this is a serious crime against humanity and he therefore thinks, it is the right time for PS Kibicho, Wilson Njenga and Philip Ndolo must be taken to ICC for breaching articles, 1.5, 53 and 7(1)(k) of the Rome Statues of the International Criminal Court.

Mike Sonko stated that he was elected by the people of Nairobi as their governor with a constitutional responsibility to protect the interest of the people of Nairobi.

He mention many other allegations against PS Kibicho and Nairobi police commander, Philip Ndolo. Among them is that the police have been mistreating the residence of Nairobi, during curfew time, which is between 7 PM to 5 AM.

Again, Sonko complained of Vandalism of installed disinfection booths across Nairobi city informal settlement areas, that was meant to stop the spread of corona virus especially in the congested areas where majority can not afford water to wash hands as per WHO guidelines.

Sonko through his rescue team have been seen donating food stuffs , blankets, mattresses, hand sanitizers and face mask to the affected residence.
