Murkomen Pity The Powerless Senate Speaker, Ken Lusaka.

Powerless Speaker?

While making his last remarks in senate as the Majority leader, Onesmus Kipchumba Murkomen stated that the current senate speaker Ken Lusaka is powerless, But just holding a position he can not decide anything.

According to Onesmus Kipchumba Murkomen, the senate speaker is being controlled by remote from the State House.

Kipchumba Murkomen said thus while complaining that during the Jubilee parliamentary meeting in State House to elect the new senate leaders, Speaker Ken Lusaka was squeezed in a corner and forced to accept the illegal and unconstitutional changes.

He stated that he has been friends with Ken Lusaka for a long time, from since Ken Lusaka was District Commissioner in his place and when he was the governor of Bungoma county, But the current Ken Lusaka is not the Ken Lusaka he knew those days.

Murkomen to prove his friendship with Ken Lusaka, he added that when senator James Orengo and senator Moses Wetangula brought senate documents against him, he strongly defended him, because he claims he knew him well.

Senator Kipchumba strongly believes that the decision to change senate leadership is not Ken Lusaka’s decision. He says that the speaker made the decision under durance and undue influence.

Murkomen vs Jame Orengo.

This statement from Murkomen did not sit well with senator James Orengo who claims that the conduct of the speaker is being put in doubt.

James Orengo complain that he has been in parliament for years and he has been in war with speakers, but he never addressed the speaker the way Murkomen addressed speaker Ken Lusaka.

He warned that for senator Murkomen to continue being part of the senate, he must withdraw the statement where he undermined the authority of the speakers office.

Murkomen concluded his remarks in senate sarcastically, saying that he hope his removal together with Susan Kihika will improve the president relationship with senate and the national assembly.

He addressed his adversaries telling them to cheer and even celebrate his removal not forgetting that he will soon come back big.
