Raila, Orengo in Trouble Over 10 Isolation Beds In Siaya County.

They say charity begins at home.

Kenyans were shocked after president Uhuru Kenyatta while addressing Kenyans on the corona virus and the way forward, announced that the whole of Siaya county has only 10 isolation beds for corona virus patients.

What angers Kenyans the most is the fact that president Uhuru Kenyatta announced that, out of the 10 isolation beds, 9 are occupied. Therefore only one bed is free.

Unfortunately the most active senator in senate and senate Minority leader, Hon. James Orengo, is the senator of Siaya county, a county with only 10 isolation beds.

Note: The main role of the senator in Kenya is oversight and to protect the interest of county governments within the national government.

Siaya county with only 10 isolation beds, is in Nyanza province where the former prime minister Raila Amollo Odinga comes from. As they say, Nyanza province is the political bed of Raila Odinga aka ‘Baba’.

According to Kenyans such an embarrassment should not come from a region where politicians Raila Odinga and James Orengo comes from. James Orengo has been in politics for decades.

Both Raila Odinga and James Orengo have been among the active politicians in the famous reggae political rallies, campaigning for Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).

According to Kenyans who reacted to this discouraging fact is that, this is the true meaning of ‘misplaced priorities’.

Siaya county governor Cornell Rasanga Amoth happens to be a die-hard supporter of former prime minister Hon. Raila Odinga.

Kericho county senator Hon. Aron Cheruiyot asked Kenyans to face leaders from the region with this fact, promising that he will start with Siaya senator Hon. James Orengo on Tuesday next week in the senate.
