It is now emerging that Mediamax Network Limited management are working very hard to bring former citizen TV anchors, Hussein Mohammed and Janet Mbugua to K24 TV screen.

Our sources within the Mediamax reveals to that the company management did their own research, and they decided that to remain competitive and to attract more viewers, they needed to hire famous and more experienced anchors.

According to our source, it happened that Hussein Mohammed and Janet Mbugua were suggested, and the company decided to go after them.

The Mediamax company decided to put more effort on the K24 TV, after their deal with KTN NEWS did not go through.

It was earlier announced that the company had made decision to surrender some of their programs to the Standard Media Group owned TV station, KTN NEWS.

Some few weeks ago, senior news anchor Betty Kyallo announced her exit from K24 television station, a decision many K24 viewers were not expecting, and it is reported that her exit affected the station negatively, in terms of viewership.

After Betty Kyallo’s exit, K24 upcoming news anchor,Shiksha Arora was assigned to read Friday 9 PM bulletin that was previously assigned to Betty Kyallo.

And without the most loved K24 TV show, #UpClose with Betty, the station recorded less viewers compared to the time the show was running.

Many staffs from the company including News Editors, Producers and even Directors left the station, after the company decided to slice off their salary claiming the business was down due to the corona virus.

It is reported that the Mediamax company is also planning to hire many other staffs to fill the gaps left by their previous employees.

K24 TV has always been considered to be among the most famous TV station in Kenya. This year the TV station was ranked number five after Citizen TV, KTN NEWS, KTN HOME and NTV.

It seems the management have also decided to work very hard to rank the station in a better position next time.
