COST: Details Of Laxurious Jet That Flew Joho to Dubai to Pick Raila Back Home.

On the morning of Thursday, 9th of July 202o, Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho together with national assembly minority leader, Junet Mohammed traveled to Dubai using a very luxurious jet to see and to accompany Raila Odinga back home on Sunday.

Immediately both Joho and Junet shared their pictures about the trip on social media, a very heated conversation took of online as well.

We decided to dig more on this issue to find out more details of the jet and properly the cost of hiring the luxurious jet.

The jet is A318, an air bus that is owned by Constellation Aviation Services, a company that is based in the United Emirates.

This air bus got Very Important People (VIP) dinning area, Lounge, private office and a VIP bedroom among many other luxurious features.

This particular jet has a capacity to airlift a maximum of 19 passengers at once.

It is reported that, to hire this jet, one has to depart with around 12,500 US dollars per hour, which equivalent to Ksh. 1.3 million as per the current exchange rate.

According to our research, such a private jet can take a maximum of five hours from Nairobi to Dubai. This means Joho and Junet have spent around ksh. 6.5 million, one way to Dubai.

The cost will even go up higher, depending on the food they ordered, number of crew they requested and the time the jet was parked in Nairobi.

Reports indicate that the two legislators together with Raila Odinga will be using the same private jet to fly them back to Kenya on Sunday. Therefore total cost for two way will be around Ksh. 13 Million.

NTV reports that the cost of the private jet to fly the two politicians to and fro, has been paid by tax payer money, from the confidential budget to the office of the president.
