KALONZO MUSYOKA ASKED SENATORS TO EMBRACE DIALOGUE

Wiper Democratic Movement Leader Hon Kalonzo Musyoka has encouraged Senators to embrace dialogue in order to cure the impasse being witnessed at the Senate over the sharing of revenue formula.

Kalonzo says that the constitution 2010 guarantees equity of resources and thus the Senate should work out a mechanism that will help the country move forward.

The Wiper Leader says Senate leaders must embrace dialogue warning that « intolerance is the worst form of dictatorship ».

Kalonzo emphasized on the need to significantly increase the share of the equalization fund so that those who might lose money in the final agreed formula will be properly compensated through the fund.

He is also urging for speedy enactment of the subsidiary legislation on the equalization fund both in national assembly and the senate to make sure that the funds are significantly increased from the current 0.5 % so that those who feel left out are properly catered for.

On matters COVID, Kalonzo is urging Kenyans not to stigmatize those that have been infected and have survived the corona virus but rather celebrate and encourage them.

The Wiper Leader says experts have informed us that this virus will be with us for sometime as the vaccine is being sought so Kenyans should learn to embrace fellow Kenyans that have bravely beaten this virus.

The Wiper Leader made the remarks at the Kalonzo Musyoka Foundation (KMF) offices in Karen while receiving more food donations from Prestige Industrial Services Limited led by their CEO Eng. Francis Mulekya to the KMF FOOD BASKET INITIATIVE.
